Piedmont Park

From the 1980’s to 1994, PBF supported the renovation of the main area of Piedmont Park, which included development of the tot lot, irrigation throughout the park, landscaping the Highland Avenue entrance to the park, creation of a rhododendron garden near the Guilford entrance to the main park, and obtained a State Urban Stream Renewal Grant for the restoration of Piedmont Springs (historically Bushy Del Creek). The restoration of Piedmont Springs also included planting oak trees and ferns to replace vegetation lost over time in the new dog park area. Beginning in 1980, PBF has continued to fund major pruning in Piedmont Park.
